July 28-30, 2020 Charleston Show Postponed

King Street Shops in Charleston

May 27, 2020

Speaking with many of you in recent weeks has reinforced that Chemicals America events are an important connection point for the agrochemical and specialty chemical industry. However, due to levels of uncertainty with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, and the resulting travel bans in place for many companies, we have made the decision to postpone the July 28-30, 2020 Specialty & Agro Chemicals America trade show. The Belmond Charleston Place Hotel will also likely be under some level of South Carolina crowd-control restrictions, which would limit the number of people in the ballroom and meeting rooms at any given time.

Hotel Rooms Note: Hotel rooms currently reserved in the show block at the Belmond, as well as the Marriott Courtyard and Renaissance, will be released. If any current attendees with reservations would like to plan a separate visit to Charleston, the Belmond is offering to honor our show’s discounted nightly rate through the end of the summer. See the Travel and Hotels link above for contact details.

Charleston Show Rescheduling
We will continue to wait another month or so before making a rescheduling decision for Specialty & Agro Chemicals America. As many of you have stated, the core value of our Chemicals America shows is the ability to meet industry colleagues, suppliers, and customers in a more intimate, face-to-face networking atmosphere. For that to occur, we want attendees to have a level of confidence that they can meet safely.

The Belmond Charleston Place Hotel has been very flexible in working with us to reschedule the event. They have date options as early as this fall, as well as next June of 2021. We also want to leave enough space in the calendar around next February’s Specialty & Custom Chemicals America show in Ft. Worth (February 8-11, 2021).

For now, current individual badge and exhibit space registrations for the July 2020 show will remain in the same show system, with the same confirmation numbers. Once we confirm the rescheduled Charleston show dates, we will be back in touch to communicate additional registration rollover or refund options.

Thanks for your continued support of the Chemicals America trade shows.

Best regards and I look forward to seeing you again really soon!
